Longtime Houston attorney Tom Kirkendall's observations on developments in law, business, medicine, culture, sports, and other matters of general interest to the Houston business, professional, and academic communities.
I’m totally and completely shocked…except I’m not. The EXACT SAME THING happened to me at the Comfort Inn in League City back in April. I showed up at 11:30pm, with a reservation. However, a large group had shown up earlier, without reservations, and got all the remaining rooms, including mine.
I was beyond livid, but there wasn’t much recourse. It is an independently owned and operated location, and the national customer service line apologized and said they couldn’t do anything. The owner of the League City Comfort Inn blew me off. Wouldn’t return my calls and was “not in” when I called when they did say he would be in. Just a slimeball. Could not be more down on the whole operation.
It sounds like they needs to do a company wide overhaul.
I ran into another blog last month that complained about a local Comfort Suites
