Richard Z. Chesnoff, a prize winning veteran of more than 40 years of global news work and the older brother of my good friend David Chesnoff of Las Vegas, died in New York City on February 21st after a short illness.
During his storied career, Richard covered many of the major stories and personalities of our times as an author of several books, a foreign correspondent for Newsweek, the executive editor of Newsweek International, and a senior correspondent for US News & World Report from 1985 to 2003.
Although brilliant and serious, Richard had a delightful lighter side, which is wonderfully reflected in the video below from the “Old Jews Telling Jokes” series.
Rest in peace, Richard. You are missed.
