Great music. Thanks for bringing it to us. You
have excellent taste.
Attn: Libertarians
Would anyone be allowed to practice law, regardless
of background etc.? Wouldn’t the marketplace be a
better way to settle out any complaints that may arise, rather than state regulations about who can and who can’t provide advice, counsel, and representation?
ditto physicians, dentists, engineers etc.
bill,
i gotta confess i am astonished you can parlay sunday music into comments that reflect your political thoughts.
regarding your comment: i decline to accept a simplistic label like “libertarian” but count me as one physician who believes the political conversation SHOULD include whether it might be best to trust the market to settle complaints as we allow anyone to hold themselves out as “doctor” or “lawyer, dentist, engineer” etc.
perhaps the market, the courts and “let the buyer beware” would work BETTER than our current approach?
If I understand you correctly, You WOULD support
allowing anyone or his brother to dispense medical or legal advice…and the market can settle any complaints that might arise. By means of a lawsuit,
I guess!
i hope that you continue to be astonished, because
it’s a great life, if you don’t weaken.
I have listened to this concert many times over the years, and especially this song. Everyone (the artists) seems to bring their own interpretation to a seminal piece of music when it is their turn and there is no doubt who is who.
I don’t think lawyers should be writing prescriptions. That should be left up to drug companies.
