Just a note that through my previous employment in casino regulatory compliance, I knew Jamie personally. I found him to be a true gentleman – – courteous, respectful, thoroughly knowledgeable and a polite person with whom to work. He was never condescending, and his vernacular was void of vulgarities of the type common to many people working in or around the gaming industry. He was down to earth, patient explaining concepts that I needed help understanding, took my phone calls almost immediately, or returned them on a consistently timely basis. He was tireless in his efforts to assist in tasks at hand in which we needed his counsel. I was stunned to learn about all this, and am so saddened by events as they have evolved. It’s difficult to understand how such distinctly different personalities could have allegedly existed in one person. I hope some good comes out of all the bad that has occurred, and I find myself still hoping that he manages to redeem himself somehow and someday have another opportunity to use his energy and intellect to achieve good instead of what he’s reportedly used both for to date.
