At least he's consistent
Well, at least Rudy Giuliani behaved consistently both before and after becoming Mayor of New York City (Reason's David Weigel also provides this interesting Giuliani piece along the same lines).
Having said that, I don't think that's the type of consistency that most reasoned folks want in a U.S. President.

there are no true conservatives running for Pres, so you have to pick the guy who you think will do the least damage. We can thank W for that. Of course we knew W was never a conservative just like his Dad wasn't. He denounced conservatism the day he proclaimed himself a compassionate conservative. Other than lowering taxes W has proved himself in the mold of conservative Dems. Getting into wars without trying to win and reckless spending.
Rudy says he wants to lower taxes and cut spending, thats good enough for me. We know McCain and the Huckster have no such plans.
