So that's what's on the grill of my car

First, it was the invasion of the killer bees.

Then, it was the onslaught of those nasty fire ants.

Now, it's the invasion of the Libytheana bachmanii larvata.

Or, as they put it in South Texas, "Looks like you ran into some snouts."

We were in Corpus Christi last week; when we were driving back we literally ran into these things. We thought they were leaves at first and then you realize that leaves don't fly around quite like what we were seeing.

On top of that, the mosquitoes were terrible! We were laughing that we probably should have brought guns with us instead of Off. As in, "honey, I'll cover you while you run for the door".

Insects gone wild! (The South Texas Version).
