Dershowitz on C.J. Rehnquist

dershowitz1.jpgHarvard Law prof Alan Dershowitz -- who certainly does not shy away from defending difficult positions -- displays that capacity again in this tirade toward the late and not-yet-buried Chief Justice William Rehnquist.

Professor Dershowitz is a reflection of the fact that intelligence does not equate with good judgment.

I don't know, this line is pretty telling:

His rise to power speaks volumes about the current state of American values.

That's really Dershowitz's complain, isn't it? That large majorities of Americans would embrace Justice Rehnquist's view of constitutionalism over that of elites of the Left such as Dershowitz? Even worse, that we tend to regard Dershowitz as sort of a quaint liberal whom times have passed by?

I applaud Dershowitz for letting us know what he really thinks. :)

That picture is too much -- indeed, Dersh hasn't looked like that since before the late Chief became the Chief.
